Identical Rocks Draw
Eerie Comparisons

"One of the purposes of the Pathfinder mission was to look for evidence of extraterrestrial life forms," said my source at NASA, "but we were totally unprepared for what we saw."

Even though it was officially labeled Rock #47, Monolith 2 was the first rock that caught the attention of rock analysts at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where the mission is being controlled.

According to my source, "Most people think the first rock we targeted was Buffalo Bill, but we really went after Monolith 2." "The resemblance to the Martian meteorite we have on earth is so eerie that we renamed the first rock Monolith 1, and the second Monolith 2." The names refer to the alien artifacts in the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey."

Once NASA officials were able to subject Monolith 2, or M2, to the Alpha Proton X-ray Spectrometer (APXS), they became aware exactly how similar it was to Monolith 1 (previously named ALH84001) on Earth.

Spectrometer and Electron Microscope analysis of M2 shows definite evidence of prehistoric micro organism fossils.

NASA also withheld information that they included a powerful portable electron microscope with the APXS package. Electron Microscope images showed remarkable similarities between the fossil records of the two rocks.

These images may remind you of the fossil record from ALH8001, but they were transmitted from Mars last Saturday.

Compare these color cross-sections from both rock fragments.

NASA officials are eager to release this information to the public but NSA and Area 51 officials believe the evidence needs further study.
